What Are Aeroponics?
Aeroponics and Hydroponics
As their names suggest, aeroponics and hydroponics are related — they’re both ways to grow plants without soil — but they work differently:
- Hydroponic systems are horizontal, with the roots of the plants typically suspended in water.
- Aeroponics systems are usually vertical, with the roots suspended in the air where they are bathed in water and nutrients.
Advantages of Aeroponics
From using much less water to producing more nutrient-dense food, aeroponic gardens come with many health, environment, education and cost benefits.
